EON SPACE VENTURES · SIMULATION PROCEDUREExternal conduit service and terminal cabinet restoration
ESV-S02-SOP-02 · Ground station · model v3 · 12 steps
Rehearse replacement-position handling of an external conduit and its gland interfaces, preserving earthing and cabinet closure. Detect an interrupted-earth-path teaching fault and restore a complete service record.
Concept-model training and authoring specification. Real hardware operations require the programme owner’s approved procedure and engineering limits.
Before the exercise
The terminal is inert and its drives and transmission are disabled. The task owner supplies external conduit routes, supported stow poses, gland states, earthing-map evidence and any simulated continuity or weather-barrier test results. No hidden cabinet electronics are inferred.
1 Identify the external service route
Model labels: cabinet, conduit_upper, conduit_lower, conduit_aux
Select the cabinet and three visible conduits. Use the task card to distinguish the affected auxiliary route from the upper and lower routes that remain in serviceable baseline positions.
Check: Selecting the wrong conduit prevents the release sequence.
2 Confirm the isolated work package
Model labels: cabinet, drive_upper, drive_lower
Review the scenario isolation record for the cabinet, drives and RF function. Confirm the record identifies this exact terminal and task revision.
Check: No removal or reconnection can be completed under an unconfirmed isolation state.
3 Record the earth path
Model labels: earth_lead, earth_stud, earth_stud_lug, pedestal_earth_terminal
Trace the external earth route and capture its baseline endpoints. Match the visible identifiers to the supplied continuity record.
Check: A visual cable connection alone does not prove electrical continuity.
4 Open the cabinet access view
Model labels: cabinet_door, cabinet_hinge_upper, cabinet_hinge_lower
Use the defined maintenance-open pose for the door. Keep its hinge references and cabinet fixed while exposing the external gland area.
Check: Use an authored cover transform when actual hinge travel is not established.
5 Support and release the auxiliary conduit
Model labels: conduit_aux, conduit_aux_band, gland_lower
Set the conduit support state, release the authored band and gland attachment states, and identify the safe disconnected pose.
Check: Support and correct route identity must precede any release.
6 Move the conduit clear
Model labels: conduit_aux, gland_lower, conduit_lower
Move the affected conduit into its supported stow pose along the defined path. Preserve the lower conduit route and its band.
Check: Dragging the unaffected route or leaving the loose end inside the drive envelope fails the step.
7 Catch the interrupted earth route
Model labels: earth_lead, earth_stud_lug, pedestal_earth_terminal
Present a fault variant in which the earth-path status record no longer agrees with its accepted endpoints. Place a hold and retain the fault evidence.
Check: The learner must not accept a cosmetic reconnection as proof of a valid earth path.
8 Restore the reviewed earth configuration
Model labels: earth_lead, earth_stud, earth_stud_lug
Restore the specified endpoint and lug states using the reviewed correction. Link the replacement continuity teaching record to the same configuration.
Check: The hold remains active until endpoint identity and the required test evidence agree.
9 Refit the external conduit
Model labels: conduit_aux, gland_lower, conduit_aux_band
Return the affected conduit to its approved route, restore the gland interface and engage its retaining band. Compare the route with the saved baseline.
Check: A retained band does not compensate for a wrong gland or a route crossing the movement envelope.
10 Reconcile the other service routes
Model labels: conduit_upper, conduit_lower, conduit_upper_band, conduit_lower_band
Verify both unaffected conduits and their retention against the initial snapshot. Record any unintended movement as a discrepancy to resolve.
Check: All routes must have an explained final state before cabinet closure.
11 Restore the cabinet closure
Model labels: cabinet_door, cabinet_fastener_upper_right, cabinet_fastener_lower_right
Return the door and attachment groups to their accepted closed states. Review the supplied weather-barrier teaching evidence if required by the scenario.
Check: Closure is assessed geometrically; sealing performance requires its own evidence.
12 Submit the service handover
Model labels: cabinet, conduit_aux, earth_lead, earth_stud
Hand over the affected route, isolation record, earth fault and recovery, gland and band states, final closure and required test records.
Check: Completion requires a resolved earth hold and an accepted final external configuration.
Assessment and completion
Score route identification 20, supported handling and release order 20, earth-fault recovery 25, restoration 25 and evidence handover 10. Work before isolation, an unsupported loose conduit or unresolved earth-path evidence prevents completion.
Authoring and headless handoff
Keep the exercise on visible external equipment. Bind conduit, band, gland, earth-lug and door states to existing labels. Provide a recorded continuity result rather than generating an electrical measurement from appearance. The exercise must preserve the unaffected routes and avoid assumptions about cabinet internals.
Reuse the exact GLB and part identifiers. Verify the supported Genesis import and binding path before generation. These are procedure specifications; they do not claim a completed Genesis run.
